ABOUT
Hey there friend & welcome! I’m so happy you found your way to my little piece of the Internet. I had felt called to start this blog for years. I love to write and create, but fear often held me back.
After lots of praying and finally surrendering to something I feel God calling me to do, here I am, and here you are, in a place I hope brings you a sense of belonging & encouragement!
In May 2019 I officially met the love of my life and my absolute best friend, Christian (Chris). We were married 5 months later in October. It was definitely a when you know you know love story for us. He is in the Army and we are currently stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado! To support my husband and stand beside him as he serves our country, is something I take great pride and honor in. Being a military spouse is not something I grew up thinking I’d be, but looking back it is everything God was shaping me to be.
I am a mama to our two little boys Jackson and Jace. They are exactly 2 years and 10 months apart! (Both born on the 17th of their birth months. ) Growing up I always wanted a boy first, like I just knew I always wanted a boy. And looking back I see that was just a desire God put in my heart knowing I was going to have two!
I am a stay at home mom for now, until our boys start school. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to stay at home and care for our boys. I know that option is not for everyone, and never thought it would be for me. While so incredibly blessed to do so, it is not always easy.
Motherhood is the highest honor I’ve ever been given. I don’t think there is better way to serve the Lord than to serve those he has entrusted to you.
Some other things about me :
-I am from Tennessee, born and raised and love all things TN! (Especially the football teams.)
-We have a Golden retriever named Dolly and a Corgi named Henry! Both named after Tennessee Legends, Dolly Parton and Derrick Henry! Definitely going to continue the Tennessee legend names for all our future pets. (Dying to get a weenie dog named Elvis.)
-My husband and I have a goal to visit all 63 U.S. National Parks, which will probably take our whole lifetime to achieve but gives us a whole lot of adventure to look forward too.
